This message seems to be the actual problem, but I don't know this "xs"

It seems like the C code generated by perlxs is giving you problems.
Those valist functions need to go anyway, so it should all be fine.
Let me know when you get the updated source and try to compile it (I
will hopefully fix it tonight).
